We teach our trade to the next generation. Our 501c3 Foundation was created in 2012 to encourage young girls to develop an interest in software engineering and consider careers in computer science. We love that our foundation offers tools and resources to teach kids of all ages to learn how to code. Our goals include:
Women in Tech Series – 10Women from Google, Microsft, GNC, Allegheny Health NEtwrok, Health Possible and more joined us to share their stories, experience, and advice for young girls who are interested in the technology industry.
Code.org – Tons of tutorials and resources that students can do right at home.
Scratch – Learn to code by dragging and dropping instructions.
Code Academy – Follow-along tutorials that get kids coding right away.
Hello, Ruby – Targeted toward the smallest learners, “Hello, Ruby” has lesson plans ready for the classroom.
ScratchEd – Find resources for Scratch lesson plans to use with your students.
Alice – Similar to Scratch but targeted towards older students, Alice helps visually teach students Computer Science fundamentals.
